John Cochran, 76, retired truck driver.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Bethel Assembly of God Church for John Raymond "Tex" Cochran, 76, Tulare, who died Tuesday in a Visalia hospital.

Mr. Cochran was born in Erick, Okla., and lived in Tulare for 51 years. He married Georgia Cochran in 1934 in Morton, Texas. He was a truck driver for 20 years for Kings County Truck Lines before retiring. He was a member of Bethel Assembly and Teamster Union Local No. 94. He enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, and watching sports.

In addition to his wife in Tulare, he is survived by one daughter, Theda McDonald, Visalia, one brother, Ben Cochran, Tulare; one sister, Billie Ruminer, Tulare; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be until 8 tonight at Hamilton Peers-Lorentzen Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Tulare Cemetery.
