JIMMIE JEAN SISSON
There will be no service at this time for Jimmie Jean Sisson, age 81, of Enid, because she lived
her life to the fullest. Her body was cremated at her request. Memorial services will be at a later date in California. Arrangements
are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.
She was born November 29, 1924, in Oklahoma City to Daniel Jackson
and Alice Selena Faglie Fulfer and passed in peace in her sleep July 14, 2006, at Golden Oaks Nursing Center. The family wishes
to thank the staff and personnel of Golden Oaks for the wonderful care and love they bestowed on Jean while she was a resident
there.
Jean was in high school when her family moved to Lassen County, CA; she left school a month before graduation
in May 1942 for the big city, Los Angeles, CA. She worked at Adel Precision Products producing the B-25. She met her heart’s
desire when she moved back to the mountains. She married Richard “Dick” James Sisson October 29, 1945, in Reno,
NV and they just celebrated 60 years together. She followed Dick from coast to coast while he served in the Navy. She successfully
raised three children. She taught us how to clean, cook and keep a home in order before we left home. She loved a good joke,
and laughed easily and often. She loved to watch game shows on TV or play Scrabble or Yahtzee anytime, anywhere. She loved
her husband. Jean and Dick have been in Enid since 1993.
She appreciated the loving people of Oakwood Christian Church
as they allowed her daughter to care for her and Dick so well these last two years.
Surviving are her husband, Dick;
a brother, Daniel Jackson “Bud” Fulfer, Jr. (Bea) of Adin, CA; sister, June Jaqueline Boyd of Alturas, CA; son,
Harold Wayne Sisson (Pat Kelley) of Fair Oaks, CA; a daughter, Alice Lynn Reynolds of Enid and her favorite son-in-law, Keith;
two grandchildren, Joseph Reynolds and partner Zandra of Virginia, and Ivana Sisson of Oregon; two great-grandchildren; and
sisters-in-law, Ruth Sisson, Ava Lee and Marie Sisson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Ileta,
Peggy, Selena, and Margie, and one son, Ronald.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to National Association of
Atomic Veterans, Inc., 11214 Sageland, Houston, TX 77089 with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home as custodian of the funds.
