Funeral rites for Melvin Spillman, 64, Broken Bow, were scheduled for 2 p.m. today in the First Assembly of God Church of Broken Bow, with Rev. Don Ramsey officiating.
Spillman died Friday at the Veterens Hospital in Bonham, Texas.
Born Dec. 29, 1921 at Garvin, he was retired oil field worker, a veteren of World War II and a member of the First Assembly of God Church of Broken Bow. He had resided in Broken Bow since 1972, moving from Idabel.
Survivors include his wife, Carrie Jane Spillman, of the home; two sons, Raymond Spillman of Denison, Texas, and Henry Ray Spillman of Rockwall, Texas; two daughters, Barbara Laxton of Broken Bow and Mary Williams of Muleshoe, Texas; two brothers, Walter Spillman of Arlington, Texas, and Howard Spillman of Denison; five sisters, Viola Chadwick of Foreman, Ark., Roma Welch of Gainesboro, Tenn., Mattie Hurst, Opal Green, both of Garland, Texas and Trannie Lee Turney of Idabel and eight grandchildren.
Arrangements and burial in Tom Cemetery were under the direction of National Funeral Home of Broken Bow.
