FORT WORTH - Burl Tiner, a retired butcher, died Saturday at his home. He was 77.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Chapel of the Chimes at Laurel Land Funeral Home in Fort Worth. Burial will be in Laurel Land Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Mr. Tiner was born in Johnson County.
He worked for Chicotsky's for 23 years and for Bar W Meats for 15 years before his retirement in 1980. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He enjoyed sports, gardening, hunting and bowling. He was a member of Travis Avenue Baptist Church.
Survivors: Wife of 54 years, Frances Tiner of Fort Worth; son, Larry Tiner of Crowley; and two grandsons.
