STANGLIN, , NORMAN LESLEY Norm was born in southeast Dallas County April 28, 1930 to Emmit and Bettie Stanglin. He attended Rose Hill School until the 5th grade, and then moved to Pleasant Grove Texas and attended Pleasant Grove Grade School and High School. In 1948 he worked in his father's store at Pleasant Drive and Hawn Fwy for a short time. Then worked for Mason Awning Co. until 1952, when he joined the Dallas Police Department. He Married Berta Mae Fulfer, June 8th 1954 they were married by Rev. Jullian Thomas at RileyMethodist Church. He worked for the Dallas Police Department at Central station and Northeast Police Station until he retired May 31, 1981, then joined the Dallas County Sheriffs Dept. in March 1982. He worked as a Deputy Sheriff in the Bailiff Division until he retired 1998. Berta Mae, his beloved wife passed away June 23, 1997. Norm is survived by two sons, David Thomas and wife Debbie, Stephen Paul, Daughter, Sherri Elaine Graham and husband Jimmy, grandchildren Christie Nelson and husband Austin, Courtney Michelle Graham who was the apple of his eye of Terrell Texas and great-grandson Brandon Nelson. Visitation will be Sunday April 23, 2006 from 9 am until 9 pm with family receiving friends from 6-9 pm. Service is Monday April 24, 2006 at 2 pm at Laurel Oaks Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Richard Oliver officiating. Interment will follow at Laurel Oaks Memorial Park. OB6 Obituaries, Notices
