MINERAL WELLS - Homer Granada Cozby, a retired postal service worker, died Thursday at his home in Mineral Wells. He was 74.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Baum-Carlock-Baumgarder Funeral Home. Burial will be in Carlton Cemetery, west of Hico. Graveside military rites will be provided by Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Mr. Cozby was born in Fields, N.M.

He was an Army Air Forces veteran and served with the 25th Fighter Squadron in the China, Burma, India Theater. He was a member of the Flying Tigers Association and the American Association of Retired Persons. He was a former member of the Civilian Conservation Corps and a lifetime member of the Stephenville Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Mr. Cozby graduated from Carlton High School in 1939 and wrote a history of Carlton.

Survivors: Wife, Christine Cozby of Mineral Wells; son, James Wright of Seguin; two daughters, Jessie Teddlie of Hurst and Levenia Lucatorta of Bowie; two sisters, Irene Koonsman of Stephenville and Grace Hill of Encatais, Calif.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
