Services for Lillian Stanford, 78, of Lubbock are pending with Sanders Funeral Home.
She died at 9:43 a.m Friday  at Lubbock's Methodist Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born in Erath County and moved to Idalou in 1923 from Erath.  She worked as a bookkeeper at Montgomery Motors until her retirement. in 1976. She was a member of Broadway Church of Christ.
A brother, Clyde, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Jimmy Joe of Lubbock; a brother, C. W. "Tess" Fulfer of Lubbock; a sister, Lucille Peeples of Idalou; four grandchildren and a great grandchild.
Memorials may be made to Broadway Church of Christ Youth Reach Fund or to a favorite charity.
