JOHN NEWTON SOUTHWORTH, 89, of Georgetown, Ky., died Tuesday, March 23, 2004, at his residence. He was the husband of
Ruby Hines Southworth. A native of Muncie, he was born June 2, 1914, the son of the late Frank and Emily Phipps Southworth.
He worked as a Piston Inspector with the Zolner Corp. in Fort Wayne. He was a member of the Trinity Assembly of God in Georgetown,
where be served on the Board, as a Greeter, Usher, and Deacon. In addition to his wife, he is also survived by three daughters,
Lucille Cantalon of Tacoma, Wash., Claudia Nusbaum of Fort Wayne, and Virginia Stahl of Hemit, Calif.; two stepdaughters,
Sandra Sissel of Falmouth, Ky. and Darla Johnson of Dry Ridge, Ky.; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. Funeral
service is 11 a.m. Friday at the Trinity Assembly of God in Georgetown, with Brothers Stanley Holder and Ron Ferrell officiating.
A Committal service is 3 p.m. Saturday at Covington Memorial Gardens in Fort Wayne. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday
at Trinity Assembly of God in Georgetown. Arrangements by Tucker, Yocum & Wilson Funeral Home in Georgetown.
