Services for Esther Gordon Shadix, age 72, a resident of Clarendon and Donley County for 19 years, will be held at 2PM, Thursday, Jan. 16 in the Assembly of God Church.  Internment will be in the Citizens Cemetery under the direction of the Murphy Funeral Home.
Mrs. Shadix died Tuesday morning in Adair Hospital.  She was born Dec. 14, 1896 near Stephenville, Tx. and was married to Andy C Shadix on July 24, 1915 at Texola, Okla.
Survivors include her husband A. C. Shadix of Clarendon, one daughter Mrs. E. W. Morrison of Claude, one son Lendal Shadix of Amarillo, two sisters Mrs. Inez Cochran of Tulare, Cal., Mrs. O. V. Williams of Okla. City, Okla.  9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
