Funeral services for Tommy Sadberry, 42, of Holliday were held Tuesday in First Baptist Church of Holliday. Church pastor, Rev. Mike Gresham officiated and burial was in the Holliday Cemetery under the direction of Owens-Brumley Funeral Home.
Sadberry, who was found Saturday night by a passing motorist on a farm-to-market road south of Holliday, was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Andy Roewe.
Sadberry was born July 27, 1939 in Gorman, Texas and came to Archer County with his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Sadberry as a child. He lived in the Mankins-Holliday area and was a graduate of Holliday High School and a member of the First Baptist Church, Holliday.
He was an oil field pumper.
Survivors include his wife Shirley of Holliday; two sons, Tommy Sadberry, Jr.; daughter, Sherry Sadberry and one brother, Lee Sadberry, all of Holliday and one grandson.
Pallbearers were Keith Allrich, Bill Finnell, John, W. H., Jerry and Robery Fulfer. Honorary pallbearers were O. L., Charles and Bobby Fulfer.
