Graveside services were held Wednesday at Tulare Cemetery for Edward E. Ruminer, 73, Tulare, who died of respiratory arrest Saturday at a Visalia hospital.
He was born in Commerce, Okla., and moved to the Tulare area in 1935. He served in the U. S. Marines from 1941 to 1945, serving in World War II in the Pacific Company C3rd Division, where he received the rank of corporal.  In 1946, he married Billie Cochran, and recently celebrated their 5oth wedding anniversary.  He operated Ruminer Produce in Tulare for 25 years, and enjoyed gardening and fishing.
He was a lifetime member of Veteran's of Foreign Wars.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one son, Richard Ruminer, Tulare; one brother, Dwight Ruminer, Visalia; five sisters, Louise Cardwell, Earilmart, Gloria Andrada, Visalia, Betty Wilbur, Watsonville, Joanna Keller, Visalia, Doris Gughemetti, San Francisco; two grandchildren; and one great grandson.
Arrangements are by  Hamilton Peers-Lorentzen Funeral Chapel.
