ADELE RULE
Adele H. Rule, nee Howard, 88, of Belleville, formerly of Lebanon, died Monday, March 15, 1993, at Columbia Convalescent
Center in Columbia. She had taught in Choctaw and Emerald Mound Rural Schools, and also in the schools of Shiloh, Summerfield,
O'Fallon, and East St. Louis; she retired in 1970, after teaching for 36 years. She was a member of St. Paul United Church
of Christ in Lebanon, and National Retired Teachers Association. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Rule;
parents, Dr. Charles E. and Eleanor, nee Clucas, Howard; a brother, Ralph Howard; and four sisters, Corina Reibold, Lola Monken,
Irene Bassler and Leocia Tate. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Norman (Gail) Dial of Chugiak, Alaska; two granddaughters,
Mrs. Diana Gregory of Kent, Wash., and Mrs. Coral Olson of Palmer, Alaska; three great grandchildren, Aaron Gregory of Kent,
Wash., Kristian Olson and Caitlyn Olson, both of Palmer, Alaska. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, at St.
Paul United Church of Christ in Lebanon, with Rev. Roy Griebel, Interim Pastor of St. Paul United Church of Christ officiating.
Burial will be in College Hill Cemetery in Lebanon. Friends may call from 12 p.m. until time of service Thursday, at the
church. Meyer Funeral Home in Lebanon, handled arrangements.
