Mrs. Velma Marie Robinson passed from this life Saturday morning, February 8, 2003, in League City.

Born August 12, 1928 in Blum, Texas, Mrs. Robinson had been a resident of Hitchcock since 1956, previously of LaMarque. A longtime member of First Baptist Church of Hitchcock, she graduated as Valedictorian from Blum High School in 1947 and had been a school secretary with Hitchcock I.S.D. for over 20 years.

Survivors include her husband of over 54 years, Charles Robinson of Hitchcock; sons, Ted Robinson and wife Pam of Hitchcock, Charles Robinson, Jr., and wife Janice of Belton; sister, Vina Doty of Bridgeport; grandchildren, Ted Robinson, Jr., Daryl Robinson and wife, Tanya, Amy Robinson, Stacie Wood and husband, Matt; great-grandchildren, Kyle Robinson Wood and Jennifer Robinson.

Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 11, 2003, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Reverend Charles Robinson, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery.

Casketbearers will be Ford Gustafason, Daryl Robinson, Ted Robinson, Jr., Greg Robinson, Harry Robinson and Matt Wood.
