Clyde Phipps Die In Local Hospital
Clyde Phipps, 57, died Friday in Marks-English Hospital after a short illness. Phipps was born Jan. 10, 1914, in Bosque
County, son of J. E. and Autie Fulfur (sic) Phipps. He was married to Carrie Newman in Fort Worth, June 19, 1968. Survivors
are his wife; his father; J. E. Phipps of Glen Rose; two brothers, Jay Phipps of Tuscon, Ariz., and T. E. Phipps of El Paso;
three sisters; Mrs. Lenora Turner and Mrs. Miriam Wingfield of Fort Worth and Mrs. Laveda Swaim of Lebanon, Ore. Funeral
rites were held in Reynolds Funeral Home Chapel Sunday at 2 p.m. with Elder A. D. Wood officiating. Burial was in Post Oak
Cemetery under the direction of Reynolds Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Merl Burns, James Mitchell, William and Paul Harkins,
Buster Stewart and James Marxman.
