NORTH RICHLAND HILLS - Jackie Yvonne Addington, 63, passed away Saturday, June 19, 1999, at home after a 22-month
battle with lung cancer.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Metropolitan Baptist Church.
Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Metropolitan Baptist Church.
Survivors: Husband, the Rev. B. Joe Addington; sons and daughters- in-law, Randy and Sheila Addington and and
Ricky and Cindy Addington; daughter and son-in-law, Sherri and Mark Davison; sister, Linda Wharton; grandchildren, Josh, Matt,
B.J. and Danielle Addington; aunts, Bessie Crumpler and Loretta Kyser; and many loving cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS - Jackie Yvonne Addington, 63, a minister's wife and retired risk management insurance
administrator for Crescent Real Estate Equities Company, passed away Saturday, June 19, 1999, at home after a 22- month battle
with lung cancer.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Wednesday at Metropolitan Baptist Church.
Officiating: Rev. Joe Addington, Rev. Larry Adkisson, Rev. Edgar Carlisle and Rev. Dwayne Phy. Burial: Greenwood
Memorial Park.
Visitation: 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Metropolitan Baptist Church.
Pallbearers: Joseph D. Ambrose III, Jimmy Davis, C.H. Dowdy Jr., and Reverends E.E. Chappell, Lonnie Collier,
and Charles Hays.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Building Fund, Metropolitan Baptist
Church: 6051 Azle Ave., Lake Worth, 76135.
Jackie Addington was delivered into this world by her great- grandfather, Dr. J. P. Holton, Nov. 23, 1935, to
Ralph and Leona Hogge, in Wichita Falls. She was married to Rev. Billy Joe Addington March 25, 1955, in Fort Worth. She received
her Christian Education degree from Trinity Valley Baptist Seminary and Bible College. Rev. and Mrs. Addington's ministry
together carried them to Baptist churches in Colorado and Texas. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She was also a soloist and speaker to ladies groups, conferences and retreats. Her life was an inspiration to all who knew
her because it exemplified the power of Christian faith in times of stress, suffering, sorrow and turmoil.
She had a creative, entertaining personality and enjoyed life. Her interests and talents were many and she used
them to the honor and glory of God. To her family and friends, she was always there in times of need to offer help and encouragement,
always ready to open her heart and go the extra mile. She left a legacy of devotion to God and family and will long be remembered
for her ability to mentor others. She was a living example of Christian faith in action. If love and prayers could have kept
her here, we would still be enjoying her lovely smile, intelligence, wit, charm and her special loving nature. She will be
greatly missed, but her life did not end in this world because she will live on in the lives and hearts of those that knew
her as long as we shall live. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph L. and Leona Hogge; and brother, Robert L. Hogge.
Survivors: Husband of 44 years, Rev. B. Joe Addington of Fort Worth; sons and daughters-in-law, Randy Keith
and Sheila Addington of Minneapolis, Minn., and their children, Joshua and Matthew Addington of Weatherford, Ricky Lynn and
Cindy Addington and their children,
"B.J." and Danielle; daughter and son-in-law, Sherri Sue and Mark Davison; sister, Linda Joyce Wharton, all
of Fort Worth; aunts, Bessie Crumpler and Loretta Kyser of Wichita Falls; and many loving cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends.
