Edgar P. Owens (April 22, 1894-February 3, 1969)
Graveside funeral services for Edgar P. Owens, 74, of 542 Fulton St., Apt. B, will be held at 10am tomorrow in the IOOF
Cemetery. Owens, a native of Hunt County, Tex., had lived in Porterville and Lindsay (Tulare Co, CA) three
years before moving to Fresno about seven months ago. He was a machinist until he retired in 1958. He died Monday
following a short illness. He served with the Army during World War I. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Ida
Mae Wolff of Medford, Okla., Mrs. Bessie Angel of Austin, Tex., and Mrs. Mona Mathis of Burnett, (Fannin) Tex., a niece,
Mrs. Anna Lockman of Fresno, and a nephew, the Rev. Albert Finch of Petaluma.

his birth year to be 1894, all the census show him to be the second child with Nora the oldest. If his birthyear was 1894
he would be older than Nora.
