Donna Miura Dies

Services were held January 11, in the Eagleville Community Church for Donna Miura, 32, who passed away suddenly January 7. 
The Rev. Jim Russ officiated at the service. Pallbearers were Arnie Werner, Willis Warren, Adrian Dollarhide, Joe Harris, Sam Harris, and  Bud Hastings. Honorary Pallbearers were Charles Pratt and Henry DeRose.  Burial was in the Eagleville Cemetery.
Donna was one of three children born to Margie "Rusty" and Gordon Locke. She was born January 23, 1945 in Alturas.  The family moved to Eagleville when Donna was in her teens and she attended the Surprise Valley high school.
In 1962, she married Marcel Miura and to them two children were born, Johnny and Vicki. They made their home in Eagleville.  Donna was a charter member of the Xi Rho Phi Sorority when it was organized in Surprise Valley.  For a number of years she has been 4-H Community Club leader for the Eagleville club and has taught several project groups helping and guiding many young people with her love and willingness to share her time and knowledge with them.
Much of her life was spent in fighting against illness which perhaps accounted for her great appreciation of life and all the beauty of the world around her.
She is survived by her husband, Marcel Miura and two children, Johnny and Vicki of Eagleville; her parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Gordon Locke of Chico; her brother Charlie Locke of Marysville; her grandmother, two two nephews and two nieces and a host of friends.
