Commerce--Services for Arvel Moreland, 74, of Commerce are scheduled for 10 a.m. Tuesday at Jones-Walker and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Lyndon Petty and RRev. Richy Hall officiating.  Mr. Moreland died Sunday at PPresbyterian Hospital of Commerce.
Burial will follow in Horton Cemetery.
He was born March 9, 1921 in Delata County to J. D. Moreland and Annie Clayton.
He married the former Betty Wilson Nov. 7, 1953 in commerce.  He was a retired farmer and a veteran of World War II.   He also was a deacon at Horton Baptist Church.
Mr. Moreland is survived by his wife, Betty Moreland of Colmmerce, and sister Kana Lou Arnold of Commerce.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Kathy Moreland, two sisters and seven brothers.
Pallbearers are scheduled to be Jeff Moreland, Bruce McKay, Jeff McKay, Dwayne Miller, Bobby Moreland, Larry Moreland, Mike Arnold and David Arnold. 
Visitation is scheduled between 7 and 9 tonight at Jones-Walker and Son Funeral Home.
