McCURDY RITES HELD SATURDAY

Raymond L. McCurdy, 77, of Perryton, died Jan. 5, 1994.
Funeral services were held Saturday morning, Jan. 8, at Southside Baptist Church, with Bobby Roger, pastor, officiating. Burial followed under the direction of Boxwell Brothers, in Ochiltree Cemetery.
He was born March 16, 1916 in Rocky, OK, and had lived in Perryton since 1929. He married Vinita Barclay on Oct. 31, 1932 in Perryton. He was employed by the City of Perryton for 20 years before retiring in 1982. He  was also a volunteer fireman for around 30 years, and a charter member of the local VFW .
He is survived by his wife, Vinita, of the home; two daughters, Anita R. Bartel of Lubbock and Debbie Ives of  College Station; one sister, Violette Hoy of Ontario, CA; seven  grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
