Brownfield (Special)--Service for Oscar Hickson, 67, of Brownfield will be at 2 p.m. today in the Friendship Primitive Baptist Church with the Rev. Johnny B. Rogers of Odessa officiating.
Burial will follow in Terry County Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Brownfield Funeral Home.
Hickson died at 8:50 p.m. Thursday in Brownfield Regional Medical Center after a long illness.
The Graham, N.M. native moved to Motley County in 1919 and to Terry County in 1937. He had farmed in the Johnson and Tokio communities before moving to Brownfield in 1965.
He was married to Lois Freeman Jan. 4, 1934 in Matador.
Hickson was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Gene of Brownfield, Ronnie of Lubbock and Eddie of Tampa Fla., a brother , Gerald of Brownfield; four sisters, Artie Wason of Matador, Gertrude Buffington of Chowchilla, Callif., Leota Gillette of Lubbock and Ida Mae Sherrer of Rotan and four grandchildren.
