ARTHUR -- L. Doris House, 92, of Arthur died 3:30 a.m. Tuesday (Dec. 23, 1997) in the Arthur Home. Services will
be 11 a.m. Friday in Shrader Funeral Home, Arthur, with the Rev. James Elder officiating. Visitation will be one hour before
services. Burial will be in the Arthur Cemetery. Memorials: Arthur United Methodist Church or Arthur Public Library. Mrs.
House was born in Moultrie County on Oct. 7, 1905, the daughter of Adolphus L. and Clara Roberts Fulfer. She was a member
of the Arthur United Methodist Church. She was a retired legal secretary for the Law Office of John Rutledge, had served the
Village of Arthur as village treasurer and public librarian. Mrs. House also had been the Arthur area correspondent for the
News-Gazette. She married C. Russell McDonald on Sept. 29, 1934. He preceded her in death on July 1, 1958. She married Juddy
House on Dec. 14, 1968, in Arthur. He preceded her in death on Nov. 16, 1988. Surviving are her sons, Neil McDonald and
wife Deanna of Arthur; Ward McDonald and wife Diana of Mahomet; grandsons, Douglas of Mendenhall, Miss.; David of Charleston;
Aron of Monticello; Joel of Minneapolis, Minn.; Brent of Mahomet; four greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by
her parents, husband, Russell, husband, Juddy, and sister, Irene Haney
