Maurice L. Herring, 67, a resident of Oak Ridge North, Texas since 1979, passed away on Friday, March 14, 2003. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Karen M. Herring; son, Bret S. Herring and wife, Maureen of Midland, Texas and Scott E. Landers of Georgia; daughters, Susan J. Hultman and husband, Joe, Colleen Tracy Daly and husband, Kerry, and Cheryl L. Barker all of Spring Texas; sister, Dolores Garrett and husband, Russell of Albuquerque, NM; and brother, Gregory J. Herring; grandchildren are Steven R. Barker, Ashley L. Barker, Hayley E. Hultman, Kate C. Herring, Mackinez and Keegan Daly; and great-granddaughter, Tabitha J. Barker. Maurice was retired from Harris County Flood Control. Visitation was on Tuesday, March 18, 2003, Prayer Service followed at Forest Park the Woodlands Chapel. Funeral Services were held Wednesday, March 19, 2003 at Forest Park the Woodlands Chapel. Interment was at Forest Park the Woodlands Cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert Mortenson, Danny Swabado, Floyd Chapman, Steven Barker, Cline Johnson and Ray O'Neil.
