Essie Marcella York of Waco died Sunday at her home.  She was 70.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Connally-Compton Downtown Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Don Honiker officiating.  Burial will follow in Rosemound Cemetery.
Mrs. York was born April 19, 1924, in Durango.  She was a Baptist, and lived in Elm Mott before moving to Waco two years ago.  She was preceded in death by her husband A. A.
(Pappy) York, Jan 8, 1980.
Survivors include seven son, Bobby Wells York of New Orleans, Clifford Dwayne York of Stockport, England, George A. York, Alton Leon York, William M. York, all of Waco, Clinton Wayne York and Robert Farren York, both of Elm Mott; three daughters, Sandra L. Mitchell of Robinson, Mary A. Holder and Linda P.. Knaub, both of Waco, 35 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
The famly will also be at 4113 Highland Drive in Waco.
Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
