York Alton Allen (Pappy)

 

Alton Allen (Pappy) York, age 67 of Rt. 1 Elm Mott died at 4:55 pm in a local hospital,
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, at Connally-Compton Downtown Chapel, Rev. Don Honaker officiating, burial in Rosemound Cemetery.
Survivors, wife, Essie York, three daughters, Mrs. Laverne Leggott of Juliette, Georgia, Mrs. Mary Holder, of St. Louis, Missouri, Ms. Linda Lee of 809 Ivy Ann; 7 sons, George York of West, Bobby York of New Orleans, Leon York of Elm Mott, Clinton York of 312 Birch, Clifford York, William York and Robert York all of Elm Mott; three sisters, Sara Bennett of Rt 7, Waco, Ruth Holder and Nora Brown both of Missouri, 3 brothers, Thomas York of Meridian, Woodrow York of Tuscon, Arizona, Harvey Lee York of Lancaster, California and 23 grandchildren.
Active pallbearers will be sons.
