LINTON Adam E. Yates, 72, of Linton died at 11:35 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 1997, in Greene County General Hospital in Linton. He was born June 23, 1924, in Monroe City to Thomas Yates and Hazel Norris Yates. Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane Mowery Yates; one daughter, Valerie Flynn; two sisters, Mary Ethel Thompson and Barbara Bowersock; and one granddaughter. Services are 11 a.m. Friday in Welch & Cornett Linton Chapel, with the Rev. Max Slough officiating. Burial is in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. until services Friday.
