JOHN B. TERRY
Mr. John B. Terry, 72, of Caldwell, died Saturday afternoon, July 7, 1990, in a Temple hospital.
He was born January 13, 1918, in Livingston, Texas, and was the son of Charles Robert Terry and Clara Belle Stubbs Terry.
He was a longtime resident of Caldwell.
On October 6, 1946, he married Dorothy Jean Skinner in Caldwell. He was retired from Alcoa where he had worked as a potroom
supervisior. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Caldwell. Mr. Terry served in the U. S. Army during World War II.
He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and hunting.
Mr. Terry was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Gene Terry.
Survivors include his wife, Dorothy J. Terry of Caldwell; one daughter,
Beverly L. Terry of Austin; two sons, John
(Buddy) and Lottie Terry of
Bryan and Charles W. and Donna Terry of Austin; one sister, Mrs. Harry
(Marie) Dietzman
of LaPorte; and two grandchildren, Bradley Terry and
John Terry. Funeral services were at 10:a.m., Monday, July 9,
at
Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell. Interment followed in Masonic
Cemetery in Caldwell.
Pallbearers were Frank Bryan, Odell Tharp, Alton Peters, Floyd Lina,
William Calvin and L.L. Davis. Honorary pallbearers
were members of J.
D. Watson Sunday School class.
