Ruth Evelyn DeGraw Fulfer (December 13, 1937-August 15, 2004)
Sierra Star Madera Co., CA Aug 2004 Ruth Evelyn Fulfer was born Dec. 13, 1937 on the homestead in
Taloga, Okla. She moved to California with her family when she was four and they settled in Clovis, where she attended Clovis
High School. S he married J.C. Fulfer on March 18, 1955 and they had 49 years together. They moved to Coarsegold in July,
1976. Mrs. Fulfer loved to read, go camping, do ceramics, sew and sing. She was a member of Yosemite Lakes Community Church,
where she sang in the choir. Her greatest love was for Christ and for her family; she loved unconditionally. She passed
away on Sunday, Aug. 15, 2004 after a long and courageous battle with cancer, in which she never complained. She showed her
love for her family right up until the end when she would request prayer, not for herself, but for her family. She was
a beautiful lady with a heart as big as the sky. She described the outcome of her battle with cancer as a win-win situation.
To know her, was to love her. She is preceded in death by her father, Otis DeGraw and grandson Jimmy Linhares. Mrs.
Fulfer is survived by her devoted husband, J.C. Fulfer of Coarsegold; her mother, Velma Pruitt of Clovis; brother, Thomas
DeGraw of North Carolina; daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Bruce Wilson of Madera Ranchos; son, Audie Fulfer of Fresno;
daughter, Shelly Linhares of Coarsegold; grandchildren, Lesley Linhares, Jason Linhares and Nettie Linhares of Coarsegold,
Shane Wilson of Fresno, Audie Fulfer Jr., Lance Fulfer and Jeana Fulfer of Fresno; great-grandchildren, Michael Linhares and
Courtney Linhares of Mariposa, James Dylan Addison of Coarsegold and twin great-grandsons due in December 2004 and many other
family members. Services entrusted to Sierra Funeral Chapel. Visitation will be Sunday, Aug. 22 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Sierra
Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held Monday, Aug. 23 at 11 a.m. at Sierra Funeral Chapel. PIC
