Aircraft mechanic
GRAND PRAIRIE - James Lionel Evans, an aircraft mechanic, died Saturday at his Grand Prairie residence. He was 69.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Arlington Funeral Home.
Graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Sap Oak Cemetery in Morgan Mill.
Arlington Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Evans was born in Morgan Mill and had lived in the Metroplex since 1951. He retired from LTV after 20 years as an aircraft mechanic.
Mr. Evans was a member of Mayfield Church of Christ and Harmony Lodge of Morgan Mill.
Survivors: Wife, Yvonne Evans of Grand Prairie; son, Wylie Evans of Arlington; two daughters, Emilie Selby of Duncanville and Kay Carter of DeSoto; three stepsons, Keith Knight, Scott Knight and Russell Knight, all of Grand Prairie; stepdaughter, Carol Stevenson of Kemp; brother, M.C. Evans of Kennedale; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
