FLOYDADA - David Leonard Campbell, 80, died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 1999.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Wendell Horn, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Floyd County Memorial Park by Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home of Floydada.
Mr. Campbell was born in Matador and graduated from Roaring Springs High School in 1935. During World War II, he served in the Army Air Corps. He moved to Floydada in 1958.
Mr. Campbell was a retired farmer. He was a charter member of Lubbock Scottish Rite Bodies, a member of Floydada Chapter No. 227 RAM, Floydada Council No. 163 and Matador Lodge No. 824. He also was a member of First United Methodist Church.
He married Dorothy Wason in 1946 at Matador.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Gary Campbell of Gonzales, La., and Gale Campbell and Greg Campbell, both of Floydada; a brother, Maurice Campbell of Amarillo; a sister, Sarah Hunter of Floydada; and six grandchildren.
The family suggest memorials be to First United Methodist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 719, Floydada, TX 79235; or Floydada Rehabilitation and Care Center, 925 W. Crockett, Floydada, TX 79235.
