DECATUR -- Freda B. Barger, 82, of Decatur died 4:52 a.m. Sunday (Feb. 23, 1997) in Decatur Memorial Hospital. Services
will be noon Thursday in the First Church of the Nazarene with visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Brintlinger's Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials: First Church of the Nazarene. Mrs. Barger was born in Toledo, located
in Cumberland County, the daughter of George Washington and Nellie Bader Evans. She was a member of the First Church of the
Nazarene and Moose Lodge in Decatur. She was in an agricultural community for several years and a homemaker. She and her husband
formerly owned and operated the Colonial Motel in Decatur and Motel Taylorville. She married Rono Willard Barger in Newman
on July 8, 1944. He preceded her in death on Sept. 22, 1979. Surviving are her sons, Leroy and wife Sue of Decatur; Les
of Florida, formerly of Decatur; brother, Rono Evans of Charleston; grandchildren, Brian Leroy Barger and Tricia Michelle
Haley; great-grandchildren, Madison Michelle and Allison MacKenzie. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and
three brothers
