Martha Allen
Miss Martha Allen, 65, of rural Chatham died at 6:05 p.m. Monday at St. John's Hospital.
She was born in Springfield on Oct. 12, 1922, the daughter of Archie S. And Dorothy Howard Allen. Before her retirement, she was a research administrator at the University of Chicago Hospital.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Surviving are one sister, Elaine Bartles of Laurel, Md: several nieces, nephews, cousin and two aunts.
Services will be at 2 p.m Friday at the Boardman-Smith Funeral Chapel, with Dr. Roger Rominger officiating. Burial will be in Elkhart Cemetery.
