Chlorine McCart

LINTON Chlorine McCart, 93, of Linton died at 6:45 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 8, 1998, in Glenburn Nursing Home. She was born Jan. 25, 1905, in Martin County to Jess Mowery and Mary Phipps Mowery. Her first husband, McKendree Wilson, died in July 1956; and her second husband, Chester Wilson, died in October 1981. Survivors include one daughter, Lois Persifield; one son, Perry Vernal Wilson; two sisters, Minnie Ashcraft and Martha Hulen; one brother, Guy Mowery; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Services are 1 p.m. Wednesday in Anderson-Poindexter Memory Chapel, with the Rev. Melvin Rose officiating. Burial is in Stafford Cemetery. Visitation is 10 a.m. until services Wednesday.
