Lela Louise Matthews, 86, died Tuesday, June 1, 1999, in a Wichita Falls Hospice center.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday in Charlie Cemetery with the Rev. Bobby Christmas, pastor of Allendale Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home.

Mrs. Matthews was born Oct. 9, 1912, in Dallas County, Texas. She and A.T. "Bo" Matthews were married Jan. 24, 1932, in Walters, Okla. He died in February 1998. She was a retired nurse from Sheppard Air Force Base Civil Service. She lived in Wichita Falls for 74 years.

Survivors include a son, J.A. of Wichita Falls; two grandsons; and a great-grandson.

The family will be at the funeral home today from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls.
