AREA RESIDENT SINCE 1875 DIES

Albert Sidney Matthews, 90, of 109 Lincoln died in a Wichita Falls hospital Thursday.

He was born in Henrietta Jan. 11, 1875. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m Saturday at Owens-Brumley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Cadell, pastor of the Thornberry Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Charlie Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Herschel Hansard, Loe Wininger, John D. Fleming, Louis Davis Ranel White and Cecil Burmham.

Survivors include six daughters, Mrs Evelyn Knightstepp, Mrs. Edith Fleming, Mrs. J. W. Crumpler, Mrs. Tiny Bridwell, Mrs. Earnest Cornelison and Mrs. R. L. Hogge, all of Wichita Falls; one son, A. T. Matthews of Fort Worth; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
