JOE LEE MAREK, resident of Houston, passed away Friday Morning after a long illness. Mr. Marek was born March 8, 1939 in Cameron, TX, son of Joseph Walter Marek and Stella Udora Carver. He was preceded in death by his father and brother Carl Ramsey. He is survived by his mother of Houston, sisters: Mary Schroeder of Conroe, Vanessa DeShazer of San Diego, CA, brothers: David Carver and Ardis Hutto of Houston, TX, and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be: Bobby and Tommy Howell, Dennis Hudgens, Ricky Smith, Frank Everett, Jr. and Phillip Carver. The family will receive friends Sunday February 18, 2001 at Earthmans Downtown Chapel, 2420 Fannin Houston, TX. A funeral service will be held Monday, February 20, 2001 at Earthmans Downtown Chapel, followed by and interment at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery.
