SPRINGDALE -- Pauline G. "Polly" Maples, 79, of Springdale died March 9, 2003, at Northwest Medical Center in Springdale. She was born Nov. 21, 1923, in Roaring Springs, Texas, to John and Raby Culbert Fulfer. She was a homemaker and enjoyed arts and crafts. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Maples, in 1988.

Survivors include one son, Jerry Maples and wife Patty of Springdale; one daughter, Terri Harrelson and husband Bun of Springdale; Phillip Myers, whom she helped rear; one brother, Paul R. Fulfer of Springdale; one sister, Wanda Easley of Springdale; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Friendship Cemetery with the Rev. J.W. Walker officiating. Arrangements are by Memorial Funeral Home in Springdale.
