City of Shawnee employee Velorin "Chub" Brimm, Shawnee, died Wednesday in an Oklahoma City hospital. He was
66.
Brimm was born June 1, 1931, in Prague, to Joseph F, and Opal Emily (Gunter) Brimm. He served in the U.S. Army
and moved to Shawnee in 1958.
He married Mary Lewis on Nov, 29, 1977, in Shawnee, and was a member of the American Legion and the 40 and 8.
Brimm was employed by the City of Shawnee for 26 years in the water department as a supervisor.
Survivors include his wife, Mary of the home; tow sons and daughters-in-law; Edwin Lee and April Brimm and Billy
Joe and Vickie Brimm, all of Shawnee; a daughter and son-in-law, Connie Elizabeth and Tom Childress of Galey, Okla.; four
sisters and three brothers-in-law, Marcella and Buddy Nichols of Ola, Ark., Dean and Charlie Johnson of Bryan Cove, Ark.,
Sue and Ike Rogers of Dardnelle, Ark., Janet Garner of Ola, Ark.; a brother and two sisters-in-law, Eldon and Sue Brimm of
Ola, Ark., Annie Brimm of Gore; seven grandchildren and several other relatives.
Brimm was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Venus Brimm.
Services will be 1 p.m. today at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel with Sam Hendry officiating. Burial will be 11
a.m. Saturday at Bryant Cove Cemetery in Bryant Cove. Ark.
