Nicholas Fulfur died here Saturday morning after a long illness. He died at the home of his son Sam Fulfur, where he hd been removed last week. His remains were taken to Mt. Zion Sunday where interment was made. He was one of the oldest residents of Sequachee, having lived here when the station, known as Owen, was first established. He was a veteran of the Civil War, and a member of Post 53, G. A. R., of this city.

He was 64 years old. When 16 years old, Dec 22, 1863, he enlisted in Co., K., 3rd Tennessee Cavalry, and was dischardged July 1, 1865. He joined Post 53, G. A. R., Oct. 12, 1895. He had lived here many years and was closely indentified with the Owen family, and rendered them faithful service.
