James R. "Jim" Fulfer, 83, of Sequatchie, Tenn., died June 18 in South Pittsburg Municipal Hospital. A native
of Sequatchie, he was a retired farmer and was the son of late Sam and Myrtle Wyman Fulfer. He was preceded in death by his
first wife, Hattie Emma Griffith Fulfer, and two daughters, Ola Mae Tate and Virginia Crowley.
Survivors include his wife, Beulah Case Fulfer, Sequatchie; six sons, Billy Sam, Roy Lee, Tommy and Ricky Fulfer
all of Sequatchie, James Fulfer, Whitweell, Tenn., and Jack Fulfer, South Pittsburg; three daughters, Myrtle Belk, Sequatchie,
Peggy Powell, Whitwell, Tenn., and Joanie McNabb, Chattangooga; sister Ophelia Duggan, Sequatchie; 37grandchildren, 27 great
grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Services were conducted Sunday afternoon in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Joe V. Colston officiating.
Burial in Lasater Cemetery. Rogers Funeral Home, Jasper, Tenn., in charge of arrangements.
