FINAL RITES FOR J. C. FULFER SR. HELD SATURDAY
Final rites for James C. Fulfer Sr, 78, were held Saturday October 15 at 10 a.m. at the Pecan Gap Baptist Church.
Rev. Richard U. Nelson, Second Baptist Church Garland, and Rev. Blake Dunagan, Dallas, officiated at the service with interment
in Restland Cemetery in Roxton under the direction of Delta funeral home
Mr. Fulfer who died in Garland Memorial Hospital at 11:35 a.m.,Thursday October 13th after having been a patient
there for the past six weeks, was born in Roxton January 3rd, 1888, the son of John Wesley and Fannie Jackson Fulfer. A retired
farmer, he lived in Roxton for approximately 74 years.
He is survived by three sons, J. C. Fulfer, Jr., Garland, and John B. and Bill Fulfer of Dallas; three daughters,
Mrs. J. Lee Richardson, Pecan Gap; Mrs. D.W. Jordan, Arlington; Mrs. Glynn Stevens, Garland, and seven grandchildren.
