Funeral services for Early Lee Fulfer, 68, were held May 6 at 2:30 p.m. in the Assembly of God Church, Spur, with Rev. Bob Wright, pastor, officiating.

Fulfer died suddenly at his home in McAdoo on Friday, May 4, 1984. Justice of the Peace Geneeta McAllister, ruled the death was due to natural causes.

Born September 30, 1915 in Richland Springs, he married the former Hazel Sprayberry in Spur on December 24, 1937. He had lived in Dickens County since 1954, moving here from Novice. He was a retired maintenance man for the McAdoo Public Schools. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include his wife of McAdoo; a son, Virgil Fulfer, Abilene; one daughter, Ruth Kidd, Horlem, Georgia; a brother, Walter Lewis Fulfer, Monahans; two sisters, Dorotha Batillo, Odessa and Loree Joyner, Midland; five grandchildren.

Pallbearers included George Neaves, Donald Harris, Buck Van Meter, Bubba Eldredge, Larry Bass and Eldon Williams.

Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery with Campbell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
