WATSEKA
Lewis R. Gaines, 58, of Watseka, formerly of Lerna, died Sunday (July 6, 2003) at his home.
The Baier Funeral Home in Watseka was in charge of the arrangements.
He was born Feb. 6, 1945 in Lerna, the son of Woodrow and Mary Bishop Gaines. He married Susan Paris in 1983; she survives.
Other survivors include two sons, Christopher Gaines of Tuscola and Shawn Gaines of Watseka; two daughters, Angela Poole
of Rockford and Nicole Gaines of Watseka; two sisters, Elizabeth Hendriex of Rockford and Mary Gaines of Florida; four brothers,
Woodrow Gaines Jr. of Westfield, Daniel Gaines of Rockford, James Gaines of Rockford and Johny Gaines of Ina; seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.
Mr. Gaines was a security guard. He was a member of the Watseka Baptist Church and a navy veteran.
