JEFFERSON-Funeral services for Quentin R. Lockett, 76, of Jefferson

will be at 3 p.m. today at Haggard Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev.

Charles Thornton officiating. Burial is in Lockett Cemetery.

 

Mr. Lockett died Friday, July 17, 1987, in Marion County Hospital.

 

He was born June 20, 1911, in Marion County, the son of William A. and

Bennie Sanders Lockett.

 

He was a Methodist and a member of the Oddfellows Lodge and the

American Legion. He was an Army veteran of World War II, and was retired

from the Longview Police Department.

 

He is survived by one son, Clay Lockett of Palestine; three daughters,

Sherry Kubala of Denver, Colo., Margaret Robison of Leander and Clara

Closkey of Marshall; one brother, Paul Lockett of Jefferson; three

sisters, Gladys Belote, Tommie Nash and Bobbie Holley, all of Jefferson;

six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
