Margie "Rusty" Locke died unexpectedly May 30, 1997 at her home in Los Molinos, Calif. Mrs. Locke and her husband
Gordon had worked on ranches throughout the west including in Surprise Valley.
She was born to Jack and Alice (Faglie) Fulfer in Blanchard, Oklahoma on November 28, 1919 and attended schools
in Oklahoma City. When she married Gordon Locke, the two worked together on ranches and Mrs. Locke was the ranch cook. The
Lockes hd lived on ranches throughout the west including Winnemucca, Nev., Eagleville and for over the past 10 years in Los
Molinos. Gordon preceded his wife in death.
Mrs. Locke was an avid fiction reader, loved animals and fishing and enjoyed growing vegetables. Her sister
June Boyd who visited with her a few days before her passing recalls, "if it could be planted, she could grow it." Mrs. Locke
was working on gathering the Fulfer Family genelogy at the time of her death.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Chrlie And Zelda Locke of Los Molinos; sisters and brothers-in-law
Jean and Dick Sisson, Enid, Okla; June and Bill Boyd, Alturas; brother and sister-in-law Bud and Bea Fulfer, Adin; six grandchildren,
and 11 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Locke was preceded in death by her son Lonnie Locke and daughter Donna Muira and three sisters; Ileta Shapiro;
Peggy Toshei and Selena Dragoo.
No services will e held at her request. Burial will be at the Eagleville Cemetery. Memorial contributions may
be directed to the American Cancer Society.
