Ben D. Kniffen, 71, employed by Halliburton for 35 years, died Thursday in a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today in Potosi Cemetery with Weldon Gann officiating, directed by Elliott-Hamil
Funeral Home, 542 Hickory.
Mr. Kniffen was born in Abilene, where he attended school. He married Georgia Parker in 1944 in Abilene and
was a member of Masonic Lodge 559 and 16th & Vine Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife of Abilene; two sons, David R. Kniffen of Dallas and Bennie G. Kniffen of Fort Worth;
one daughter, Debra Kniffen of Abilene; three sisters, Gertrude Amersen of Dallas, Edna Roberts of Abilene and June Bollinger
of Aurora, Colo.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
