Bessie M. Jean, 90, Farina, died at 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, February 10, 1998, at Fayette County Hospital.

 

She was born December 9, 1907 in clay County, IL, the daughter of Ansil and Mary (Allphin) Fulfer. She married Arthur Guinn in 1929. He preceded her in death in 1961. She married Ted Jean in 1962. He preceded her in death in 1987.

 

Mrs. Jean was a supervisor for 20 years at Brown Produce Company. She was a member of Meachum Baptist Church.

 

Surviving are stepson, Teddy Jean Jr., of Olympia, Washington; a daughter, Doris Quinn Schaal of St. Peter, IL.; stepdaughters, Eva Brisco of Greenup and Vera Miller of Arthur, IL, step-daughter-in-law, Evelyn Jean of Toledo, IL; a sister, Clela Logan of Farina; 15 grandchildren; and several ggrandchildren and gggrandchildren.

 

Preceding her in death were her parents, both husbands, a stepson, a daughter, two sisters, and three brothers.

 

Services were held Friday at Neal Funeral Home, Kinmndy, with burial in Oskaloosa Cemetery, Oskaloosa, IL.

 

Memorials may be made to Meachum Baptist Church of Heart Fund.

 

Correct first name is Clela. Born Feb. 18, 1921 in Clay County, IL, daughter of Ansil and Mary (Allphin) Fulfer. Married Arlie Eugene Logan dec. 19, 1938. He preceded her in death August 26, 1973.

 

Survivors include a son, Larry of Joliet, IL, three granchildren, Marla Evilsizer, Chris and Jay Logan; five great-grandchildren, and four gggrandchildren.

 

Preceded in death by parents, husband, three brothers and three sisters.
