W. L. "Pete" Hodges, 66, died Tuesday, March 7, 1989 in a Fort Worth Hospital.

 

Services will be at 3:00 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church with the Reverend Billy Rodgers, Bible Baptist Church pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Hawkins Funeral Home.

 

Hodges was born January 24, 1923 in Orth, Texas. He and Mildred Berman were married December, 15, 1942 in Graham, Texas.

 

They moved to Jacksboro in 1955. He owned and operated Pete's Well Service and S & H Well Service until retiring in 1987. Hodges was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 8914, Jacksboro.

 

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Grace McConnell of Jacksboro and Sharon James of Conroe, Texas, one brother, Floyd Martin of Jacksboro; one sister, Louise Townley of Hobart, Oklahoma and five grandchildren
