Elmer Hines

Commerce-Graveside services for Elmer Hines of Commerce who died Monday in Citizens Hospital will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Horton Cemetery with Pastor Jeanette Harris officiating.

Mr. Hines was born May 25, 1946, in Queen City, the son of Benjamin Franklin and Dasie Louise Sprayberry Hines. He attended Commerce High School and married Linda Clayton on May 21, 1971 in Hopkins County. He was self-employed and worked for University Tree Service. . He was a member of Faith Chapel Church.

He is survived by his wife of Commerce; his mother of Commerce; five sons, Elmer R. Hines Jr., of Oklahoma; Jason Hines of Commerce, Joshua Hines , Frankie Hines of Arkansas and Steven Hines of Dallas: three daughters, Amanda Hines, Carlette Hines of Commerce and Becky Hines of Dallas; tow brothers, Jesse Hines and Charley Hines, both of Commerce; three sisters, Elousie Prater of Princeton, Louise Lung Queen City and Velmar Davidson.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Jones-Walker Funeral Home.
