Hazel Herring, 92, a resident of Albuquerque since 1939 who was a caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, died Wednesday, January 17, 2001. She is survived by her daughter, Dolores Garrett and husband, Russell of Albuquerque; sons, Maurice Herring and wife, Karen of Houston, TX and Gregory Herring and wife, Marian of Gaithersburg, MD; brother, J.W. Anglin and wife, Sarah; sisters, Lola Fisher and husband, Bill and Yvonne Smith and husband, Wayne, all of Mountainair, NM; grandchildren, Michael Garrett and wife, Jeanne, Pat Garrett, David Garrett, Bret Herring and wife, Maureen, Susan Hultman and husband, Joe, Tracy Daly and husband, Cary, Mark Kreider, Danette Adams and husband, Michael, Kathy Kreider and Carol Kreider; 8 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. Mrs. Herring was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Louis Herring; daughter, Antoinette Kreider and husband, John; and son, Howard Herring. She was a member of St. Therese Little Flower Church. Rosary will be recited Friday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE. A scripture service will be held Saturday, 12:00 o�clock noon, at Mt. Calvary Cemetery Chapel, 1900 Edith NE. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE Friday, 6:00 p.m. until Rosary. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Sandia Hospice, 4775 Indian School NE, Suite 310, 87110.
