LOIS M. HAMMER
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2001, in Jennings-McCall II Assisted Living Center in
Forest Grove for Lois M. Hammer, who died July 10 at age 80.
Mrs. Hammer was born Lois M. Elmore on Sept. 12, 1920, in Dickens, Texas. She moved to Portland to work in the
shipyards during World War II, then lived in Oklahoma until moving to Forest Grove in 1994. She was a homemaker. In 1946,
she married William E. Hammer; he died in 1965.
Survivors include her son, Cecil; brothers, C. L. Elmore and Leroy Elmore; and one grandchild.
Interment in Forest View Cemetery in Forest Grove. Remembrances to Shriners Hospitals for Children. Arrangements
